VMG FEATURES AND BENEFITS

The VMG 2000 is a DC welder. Connect the weld cables into the Control Module, select the correct mode, increase the engine RPM slightly and away you go! Weld from your vehicle with safe, powerful DC current. Welds any electrode up to 4mm (6 gauge) including aluminum and stainless steel. VMG 2000 is completely safe for the operator, the vehicle’s electrical circuitry and provides sufficient power to weld and operate lights simultaneously. The units are also fitted with an amp adjuster to set weld current whilst retaining optimum striking voltage. Another benefit of the VMG 2000 is that the type of current produced minimizes losses through the use of longer weld-cables.
Just select the correct mode, plug in your 220V equipment, increase the engine RPM slightly and run lights, grinders, drills, pumps, compressors and motors. The unit will retain a fixed frequency (50Hz) irrespective of engine RPM. Overload the unit and it will trip out. It has built-in ‘peak’ loading capabilities for starting certain types of motors.
Just select the mode to suit the type of system you require (12 or 24 Volts), connect your weld/charge cables onto the flat battery, increase the engine’s RPM slightly and start boost charging. After a few minutes, remain connected and then start the vehicle – you will be amazed at the charging power of the VMG 2000 system! No more ‘slave’ batteries going flat and requiring constant recharging.
The VMG 2000 alternator stator is hand-wound to optimise output and cooling. If you have equipment on your vehicle drawing high amperage, such as a winch, fridge, inverter or spotlights; then the VMG 2000 system will assist in producing up to 100% more power than an equivalent-sized alternator. This saves on batteries and increases equipment operating time.
